The South London Gallery (SLG), a publicly funded art gallery, embarked on a digital transformation journey with the support of a grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies. One of the primary goals was to revamp its digital infrastructure and enhance its eCommerce capabilities to generate additional income and donations for exhibitions and education programmes.
With the desire to transition their online gallery shop to Shopify, SLG sought the expertise of an agency to help them not only maximise its eCommerce capabilities but also to future-proof its strategy for sustained commercial income generation.
After initial conversations, it was clear that Quickfire was the right agency for SLG and we were excited to embark on this journey with them!
The new website expanded the range of products available online, aligning with the offerings in their physical shop. The platform allowed for effective product highlighting, upselling, and showcasing collaborations with local creatives, while Integrating donation features and enabling online use of member discounts.
Isabelle Hancock, Deputy Director at SLG, says: “We all appreciated the time Quickfire gave to discuss the project during the discovery phase. The design of the shop was really on brand, while also feeling refreshed and a huge improvement on what we had.”
Isabelle says: “the customer journey is much improved and we look forward to developing the shop more. In particular, it will be beneficial for us to see how revenue increases with flash sales, special promotions and extra discounts which we have never been able to do before but plan to make use of over time.”
We love working with SLG and Isabelle adds: “We were impressed by Quickfire’s previous work and expertise. As a charity, we felt like they could bring important commercial understanding to our team which we could learn a lot from.”
